Drifting off to sleep last night, I had visions of sunshine and daisies dancing in my head. When I woke, my dreams of spring today became a nightmare. MORE SNOW! COME ON! Does Mother Nature hate New Hampshire? After we broke the record for snow fall in a season, we deserve a break. Maybe when my lawyers serve Punxsutawney Phil with papers next week he will finally call off winter. If you still want to join our class action law suit, leave a comment on my blog.
As a Mom, I make sure to encourage my son every day. I have a family art gallery for his art work. And, I make sure to recognize when he does something well. Affirming him every day, I hoped to foster self-esteem. But, little did I realize that he would learn to encourage others too. Recently, he said, “Mom I want to read your blog.” I was so excited that I immediately opened up my blog before he changed his mind. Since he loves super heroes, I brought him to the “Cautionary Tale.” Wow! He liked it, and asked to read more. He has since enjoyed “Dinner and a Show” and “Sandler Syndrome.” Also, he has read the first chapter of my children’s book. Always his #1 fan, I am glad that he is my fan too.
Before I discovered Facebook and Twitter, this world seemed so vast. Fast forward to 9 months of posting to my blog, Twitter and Facebook. On a daily basis, I receive over 50,000 tweets and comments from 40 countries. Accessing most of the world right here from my laptop, I see beautiful sunrises and sunsets from many countries, as well as adorable children and their pets from North America, South America, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Pac Rim. Another aspect of our culture that everyone enjoys sharing is their favorite foods. I don’t care how much you dress up the dish. I can’t bring myself to eating my pet Guinea Pig. How are you connecting with the rest of the world?
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported me and my blog this year. We now have over 2500 followers, and the blog is read in 38 countries. This is a great start for our first 7 months. Firstly, I want to thank my husband Andy and son Kevin for their support. Also, it is important that I thank Ashley Benton and Rich Cruse for their articles. In addition, I would like to thank the Robin Williams’ Tribute Wall for including my article on your site. It was a great start, and I can’t wait to see what 2015 brings. Thank you very much!
